Baking soda does what?

Every time I’m browsing through Pinterest or a beauty blog the word baking soda always catches my eye. The things people do with this stuff in the beauty world is just insane!

The first thing I look at when I meet someone, girl or guy, are their teeth. That’s probably another reason why I’m a Dental Hygiene major. Call me wierd but I’m obsessed with teeth. I’m always looking for new ways to make my smile a little brighter. I’ve used everything from a million types of toothpaste, crest white strips, and the famous baking soda. Baking soda is always my go to if I just need a extra little shine in my smile. It’s AMAZING! Just mix it in with your choice of toothpaste and boom! Just after the first use you can see a difference. Personally I don’t go and measure out how much I’m going to use, I just throw some on my toothbrush and brush as normal. When I used crest white strips my teeth hurt horribly! I would be up all night from pain and that was just after using them maybe 5 times! Trust me, save your money. Go to the dollar store and buy two boxes of baking soda for a dollar$! (Just got two today) ๐Ÿ™‚

Another trick to using baking soda is with hair, I’ve always wanted to try this but never wanted to deal with the mess. I see a lot of people using this as a paste to break up the build up in their hair. I finally put in the time to try it out! To say the least I wasn’t impressed. I massaged the paste into my hair and let it set for 10-15 minutes. Then washed/conditioned my hair as normal. When drying the paste left my hair so dry and very hard to deal with. I didn’t notice any good things about using this. I’d like to get some feed back and read others experiences with using this!

There ya have it, baking soda is booming in ways it can be used in the beauty world. Let me know if you have any other interesting ways to use this product!
